Pre-hospitalization Procedure

  1. Your doctor will inform you of the date for your hospitalization.
If hospitalization is found to be necessary after receiving a medical examination as an outpatient, the doctor will register the admission by computer, and at a later date the clinical section will call to inform you of the date and time for your hospitalization.
There may be a waiting period if no beds are currently available in the medical ward.
  2. If you need to change the date of or cancel the hospitalization for personal reasons, or if a paid private room is desired, please contact the clinical section directly where your hospitalization reservation was made.
  3. Depending on your medical condition, public aid may be available, such as medical treatment for children with a physical disability, medical and infant care services, medical rehabilitation service for adults with a physical disability and social welfare benefits. Consult your doctor before you are hospitalized, and inquire at the (1) Medical Care Counter (Social Service Department) in the entrance area.
  4. Currently many patients must wait a long time for hospitalization (or surgery). For smoother admissions (and operations), we sometimes request patients who have passed the acute stage to transfer to another hospital for additional treatment. In this matter we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
