A Guide for Medical Interpreter
Effective communication between patients and our staffs is necessary for providing safe and high-quality medical care under our fundamental policies. Medical interpreters help patients who are non- or limited Japanese proficiency. As patients or our staffs need, medical interpreters are arranged by appointment and remunerated on a per-hour basis as follows. We kindly ask for your understanding as they may be unavailable depending on the hours or on languages.

- In-person medical interpretation: Chinese, English,Portuguese and Spanish Remote interpretation: (Video) Chinese, English, Korean, Vietnamese, Spanish and Portuguese (Telephone)Chinese, English, Korean, Vietnamese, Spanish, Portuguese, Thai, Tagalog, Nepali, Indonesian, Malay, Myanmar, Russian, French,German, Italian, Khmer and Mongolian
- Please note that an interpreter who meets your requirements may sometimes be unavailable.
- The cancelation fee will be charged after 11am on the day before your appointment 〔 outpatients, ¥3,300,inpatients, ¥1,100)

- A. This regulation was carried out from 1st July 2014.
- B. One part of this regulation was revised and carried out from 1st June 2020.
- C. Medical interpretation includes in-person and remote interpretation (video, telephone).
