Announcement regarding the Cancer Consultation and Support Room at the Osaka University Hospital

Osaka University Hospital has opened the Cancer Consultation and Support Room (CCSR) on the 4th floor of the Oncology Center Ward as a place for both inpatients and outpatients, and their families, to consult with qualified staff about the anxieties, doubts and distress that can accompany cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Consultations can be arranged by telephone, interview, or fax. A full-time social worker will speak with patients and their families and talk through problems together. Additionally, there is a corner with brochures and booklets about cancer treatments and a lounge area where patients and their families can chat with each other. Feel free to come and visit!

Reception

There are no fees for consultations or interviews.

Consultations

Consultations are handled primarily by a full-time social worker.
If you wish to consult with a medical doctor or seek a medical opinion, we recommend seeing a doctor or visiting the Second Opinion Outpatient Clinic.

Note

If you wish to consult the Second Opinion Outpatient Clinic (¥33,000(including tax) per hour at your own expense, as it is not covered by insurance, to hear the opinion of and consult with another doctor regarding your diagnosis and treatment), the consultation center can explain the procedure.
