Director of the Social Service Department RAKUGI Hiromi

Striving for enhanced cooperation with medical facilities in the community and comprehensive patient services, the Community Health Care Promotion Office was formed in 1996. In 2001, this office was reformed into the Social Service Department. From the viewpoint of high-quality medical care services and enhancement of patients' QOL, we strive to establish smooth and effective hospital-clinic/hospital-hospital cooperation (referral system).

Our department is composed of:

  • Department of Consulting (responsible for appointment service, appointment at the Second Opinion Outpatient Clinic, discharge support, medical and welfare counseling and regional medical liaison service)
  • Bedsore Management Team
  • Psychological Care Team

Considerations in referring your patients to the Social Service Department

The Social Service Department accepts patients referred from medical facilities in the community to the Osaka University Hospital to arrange their appointments for consultation.

(Mon.) to (Fri.) 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (excluding holidays and New Year’s holidays)
Note that we do not accept requests for appointments by patients.
Please be sure to make an appointment through the medical facility where the patient’s doctor works.

Revisit 8:30 am to 11:30 am
Revisit with appointment 8:30 am to 3:00 pm

※First-time visitors to Osaka University Hospital must have a referral from a physician.
